Paul Brandsford

Striving for balance and order in a chaotic world, Paul approaches life by cutting through complexity with reason and logic. At just 16, he knew he wanted to become a barber, but he was encouraged to pursue traditional education first. He attended Parsons New School for Design in New York, where he studied fashion and design before eventually returning to Tallahassee, Florida to continue his education at the Aveda Institute.

From that point forward, Paul’s passion for the craft only grew stronger. Working in Aveda salons and barbershops throughout Florida, he immersed himself in learning and refining his skills while constantly seeking new knowledge. He has taken numerous advanced classes in cosmetology and barbering, including color theory, corrective color, hair enhancements and extensions, razor fades, and Reuzel cutting courses. For Paul, knowledge is always the best defense — and “because I told you so” has never been a satisfying answer.

From Paul:

Growing up around family members in skilled trades such as welding, automotive mechanics, and cosmetology, I developed a deep appreciation for working with my hands. Designing, building, and watching something come to life has always been a driving force behind my work.

In my free time, I enjoy my days off at the beach with a good book or simply watching the waves. Drawing and painting, exploring everything from manga to hyper-realistic portraits are some of my passions which flow into the detail I put into my work as an artist behind the chair.

“Don’t wait to be you tomorrow. Do it today.”
